What are some examples of real life dependent relationships in functions?

For example, like:

How many candy bars I can buy DEPENDS on how much money I bring.

How early I wake up DEPENDS on what time I go to sleep.

They need to have the word DEPEND in them.

Also, could you give me an idea on how to tell which is the independent and which is the dependent variable?

Please and Thank You! :)What are some examples of real life dependent relationships in functions?
How much money you earn DEPENDS on how many hours you work.

Since the money DEPENDS on the work, the money is dependent. The independent variable is the other one that comes after ';depends on';

How much sales tax you pay DEPENDS on the price of the item.

How much income tax you pay DEPENDS on how much money you earn.

How drunk you get DEPENDS on how much alcohol you drink (oops, probably not a good one for school)

How long it takes to drive from your home to school DEPENDS on how fast you drive.

What are some examples of real life dependent relationships in functions?
You can do a velocity one. How far you go DEPENDS on how much time has gone by (the slope of the line is your velocity).

The dependent variable is always on the y-axis. If you think about the wording, the value of the dependent variable DEPENDS on what happens with the independent variable. In an experiment, the independent variable is controlled by the scientist. for instance, the amount of light DEPENDS on how many light bulbs are used.
  • this works
  • What are the implications of technology on business relationships?

Internet, wireless phones and computers are just some of the many devices that have become the fabric of culture. The dependency on technology has allowed us to sustain communication and become connected in ways before been impossible. The paradox is that relationships are becoming increasingly fragmented by the very means of maintaining the usage of them. What are the implications of technology on business relationships?
    Whats the question??

How can I be successful and maintain professional relationships in the education work place?

*Have a code of ethics clearly posted.

*Provide a small handbook for your staff outlining your goals and objectives

*Encourage your staff to work collaboratively in defining acceptable conduct.

Model the kind of professionalism you want to see. How you dress. How you communicate, How you relate to parents, students and colleagues. How you lead. All of these will set the tone of your organization. Others will see what you value by your example.

I am not sure what you mean. Why would you not be able to do this?

How does being bipolar affect your romantic relationships and dating?

My date, 16, is extremely bipolar, but takes Seroquil which seems to work.

In addition to being bipolar, my date also has ADD, Anxiety, Fear of Failure, and also just completed rehab for marijuana addiction.

My date also just completed 3 months in foster care becuase the bio mom was addicted to drugs.

What are some of the complications I can expect dealing with ALL these psychological issues.

How does being bipolar affect your romantic relationships and dating?
Contrary to what the previous poster said, cheating is not inevitable. I am bipolar and have been faithful with my boyfriend for almost three years. However, dating someone who is bipolar can be very hard, even if they are in proper treatment. Be strong and know that the person doesn't always mean what they say. Really bad things can seem like a good idea at the time and the consequences can be hell. Be as consistent as possible, but don't expect the same from your date. Learn as much as you can about the disorders and try to understand where the person is coming from. Talk. I can only speak generally, and from my own experience because everyone has a different experience with the same disorder. How does being bipolar affect your romantic relationships and dating?
I have bipolar disorder and have been in two long-term relationships. The first eight years and now the second, seven years so far. I am not the easiest person to live with, but my first relationship didn't end because of my mental illness. My current partner has seen my depression, mania and everything in between. My partner and I have open discussions about the complications and positives of my illness. My depression effects my partner the most. I have a hard time smiling much less try to have fun when I am down. I notice that when I am down my other half's emotions can become sad as well. I can say that when in any relationship I am extremely passionate and this usually makes the bad times not so bad.

I don't wish anyone to deal with my moods, but I would be saddened if no one gave me the chance.

Be careful with your heart. You can only decide what you want to deal with. Is she worth your time and energy because being in a relationship with someone with bipolar disorder will add additional stress to your life. I assure you I have never cheated on anyone in my years of dating.

Again, be careful with your heart.
The thing you have to understand about being bipolar is that it is as close to having multiple personalities as you can get without actually having a split personality. Depending on the day or even the time of day, I often find myself looking at the world completely different than I did moments before. It is like I have two different personalities at the same time and both are battling each other for dominance. Friendships and relationships are the hardest. I could be dating someone for several months and all of a sudden it seems like we are on our first date. You can expect she will cheat on you, so be prepared for how you will handle it. When she cheats, it will not be that she is trying hurt you - as when it happens she will in many ways think she is justified in doing it. I hate to say this, but it might be best to find someone else. At 16 she will have enough problems as it is without adding to it the ones you listed. Good luck!
Prepare yourself...... I hope you are dedicated. She is going to put you through some $hit. Remember though that she doesn't mean it. I've fu*ked up all my relationships.

How can I use reverse psychology in relationships?

I notice that at time my boyfriend will use it on me (and oohh i can't stand it!!). What are some ways to use reverse psychology without them realizing it? What are some examples you've used it un a relationship? How can I use reverse psychology in relationships?
Quiet treatment always works. Also, people are not use to someone telling them that they are right, so telling your bf ';yeah, you are right'; during arguments or intense conversations will make his inside eat alive. In addition, after telling him that ';he is right'; you should turn away and do something else afterwards instead of waiting a reaction from him...like turn on a tv, pick up a bill on the table or a magazine to look at, it will drive him nuts on the inside (What does she mean by i'm right). Even though he got what he wanted, you telling him that he is right, it will now make him very uncomfortable on the inside. He will, should, start thinking like ';is she being sarcastic by saying i'm right?';.How can I use reverse psychology in relationships?
Reverse psychology in a relationship eventually fails on all levels, because the intentions stop being sincere on BOTH ends...and what are you left with, then?
If you are willing to use reverse psychology and other forms of manipulation to maintain relationships, you're out to do more harm than good. If you don't have enough backbone to be your good self, then why even bother with relationships? You need to take time off and develop a strong sense of yourself, then perhaps go back to relationships if you must.
You just use reverse psychology the same way he does. But if you don't like it, he probably won't like it either.
';Example';: I'm going out for New Years Eve since you're out of town %26amp; I don't have anything to do...

Oh, ok. I guess I should go out all night too. Have fun!

Oh, nevermind, I'll stay home %26amp; talk to you on the phone all night.

Help me define how the environment influences love, relationships and marriage?

I am writing a paper for my psychology class, and I need to gather information about how the environmental influences can alter these human conditions. The original questions from my directions are: What is the cultural definition of love? How are relationships defined by our culture? How is marriage portrayed?-- If you can help me out with this experiment/study I could use your opinions and/or thoughts about the questions.Help me define how the environment influences love, relationships and marriage?
A persons enviroment is everything. Children oftern learn by imitating there parents, and we often imitate the enviroment around us. The enviroment is what makes us want to do things, it infulences our decisions.

If it was normal for 12 year olds to get married and have a child by the time they are 14. Alot more people would be married by 13.

in Uk culture Its normal for people to get married at around 23-7. have a kid by 30-5. Because this is what everyone else does. We imitate each other.

Cultural definition of love depends on the culture. There is differences in love. the love someone feels in an arranged marriage is alot different the love a regular couple will feel.

Relationships are defined as wrong or right depending on what culture because we have different vaules and traditions.

Marriage can be seen as a cage for some women forced into arranged marriages. Marriage can be seen as a good thing in most cultures. its devotion.

How come sometimes the timing is wrong for relationships?

When you've found someone who has potential of being the one you marry some day, circumstances may not be ideal for your relationship yet. Either one person or the other has to finish school before being able to 100% commit in their own way or someone is going overseas for 4 months. Whatever the case is, the timing is off. If you have to walk away from that person, how do you trust that things will work out in the future when the timing is right? How much emphasis is put on the ';right time';? What is timing in relationships to you?How come sometimes the timing is wrong for relationships?
timing doesn't matter as long as i am with the person that i really love the most, when i am with that person, nothing else matters in the whole worldHow come sometimes the timing is wrong for relationships?
Timing seems to be everything. Everything is related. If the timing is off and it doesn't happen, then chances are it probably won't end up happening. You could say, ';Oh when we meet at a different time and place things will work out.'; But how do you both know for sure that it will? You will both be off someone in completely different stages of your life's. Chances are nothing will happen. I know that people say ';good things come to those who wait'; but I've never found that to be true.
