How long do relationships usually go before the first fight happens?

In your experience, how long does he perfect bliss last and when the disagreements start, how do you keep from feeling too hurt? How long do relationships usually go before the first fight happens?
This is a tough question. Many people say that you don't know how strong your relationship is until you've had your first fight. First, I'll say this...I've been with my girlfriend now for about 4 months and we've yet to have a fight. Maybe a slight misunderstanding here and there but nothing I would consider being a real fight. A good friend of mine seems to fight with his girlfriend all the time. They had there first fight within the first month of dating and have been together for about 6 months. They say that the perfect bliss or the ';honeymoon'; period of a relationship lasts about 4-6 months and after that things can start to go downward. But again, it's different for everybody. There's no specific time here. In terms of how to keep from feeling too hurt if you do get into a fight...well the most important thing is to do your best to have a ';fair'; fight. And rather then yelling and screaming...';talk'; with your partner. It's good to let each other know how you're feeling. If both of you are mature and ';listen'; to what the other has to say, as well as making the attempt to compromise when needed you'll be ok! The major problems arise when either; you don't say when something is bothering you and you let the emotions build up attempting to avoid conflict which then may cause a really big emotional break down in the future, or nobody will give in and admit to being wrong when conflict arises. It's usually not the conflicts, the fights, or even the reasons people fight that cause a relationship to come to an end. It's the way people go about communicating within a fight, and how they work together to try and solve the problem that defines whether or not two people will stay together. Hope this helps! How long do relationships usually go before the first fight happens?
It all depends on you and them! How much your willing to give, and how much you will take. Even if you have the proper balance, your partner may not. Some people dis-agree on the first date, others live fight free life long relationships. If you want the answer to your question, maybe you should start by asking are you and them compatible to a degree of happiness?

Good Luck

Best Wishes
there's no way to tell every relationship is different. If a relationship is a good one, there would be ompromise and minimal hurt though. (Both people are sensitive to eah other if they actually care for one another.)
