Are relationships and love irrelevant in the Internet Age?

Having a lot of friends who have given up on relationships except for their internet connections, I am wondering if this is common globally. My friends range over a 20 to 50 age group so it's not a youth thing. Are relationships and love irrelevant in the Internet Age?

thanks for your input - Though it is very significant that there are so few responses, and all negative.

They are NOT irrelevant, but some people may not realize that. That's actually one of the negative sides of the Internet-detracting from real, live human relationships. It's better and more fulfilling to be in a relationship with someon who you've seen, hang out with, and genuinely know in person. There is no problem with Internet relationships(you can't even be sure if the other person is all that truthful),as long as they don't take the place of relationships with people you know.
I don't believe in internet relationship.. It's just so boring.. you can't ****..you can't kiss..and you can't really believe everything the other are saying..
