My friend tends to push away from guys when they try to get close to her because she has a lot of drama in her life. She doesn't want people to be close to her because she's scared she'd bring down their moods with her drama and problems she goes through.
Because of that, she won't let herself become close to guys and because of that, she would have a hard time getting into relationships.
How can she overcome this?

Well, I don't know that I disagree with her - if she's going through a lot, it might be best if she uses her energies to get through the drama, without distracting herself with random relationships. I'd recommend you sit her down and watch two movies:
Gaslight, where Ingrid Bergman is going through a terrible, dramatic time, and Joseph Cotton still falls in love with her, and Rio Bravo, where John Wayne is going through a terrible time and actually makes speeches to Angie Dickinson along the lines of, well, if I wasn't going through such a terrible time right now, dot dot dot.How can my friend overcome her fear of bringing guys down so she can get in relationships?
what she really needs is to find someone that she can trust completely and depend on. and someone that is going to treat her right. it will just take time for her to come around, because it takes time to trust people...

Well I feel that she has some fear about getting involve with someone, that thay will stay in the relationship and not runaway.
Only a guy who really loves her will put up with it. A lot of guys who weren't REALLy into her are going to be scared away, but at least her life situation will help her sort the boys from the men.
