Do most guys really feel like relationships are not worth it and casual sex is the ideal?

I've been reading a few messages boards, and this seems to be the overwhelming response. Do most guys feel this way, or is it just that the people who are the most extremely against relationships and feelings are the most dedicated posters?Do most guys really feel like relationships are not worth it and casual sex is the ideal?
I believe the 2nd option.

It's true that relationships tie us guys down to a certain extent. However, most guys that have been (or are currently) in a good relationship with a good woman will agree that the freedom you have from being single isn't worth the loneliness. Psychological studies have shown again and again that men in steady relationships are happier than those that live the bachelor life. I've been happily married for seven years and have three kids and I'll admit, sometime it seems like a nice idea to be single and free again. Then I think of how I felt when I was. And quickly forget about it. It sucked.Do most guys really feel like relationships are not worth it and casual sex is the ideal?
Personally, the idea relationship for me is seeing the other person 3 - 4 times a week for no more than 20 hours a week and having sex with them every time we see each other.

I am 20 years old btw. The problem is that in college couples seem to always be together and that just seems the only way to go. Because I am childish (or you might come up with another reason), I always avoid relationships in the beginning (yet keep in some contact with her) so I don't give her the idea that I want to be around her all the time. This may cause her to lose interest and make the sex very ';causal.'; If we continue to have casual sex, I may ask her to hang out sometime.

It is true that I want a relationship that gets more serious over time, but as was said above, I do not want to have a relationship with someone who will not have sex with me.
guys want sex and food. and women just don't want to give it that easily are they will be called a sluuuut. every woman over the age of 18 should know that guys want a lot of sex. pretty simple. the key is to figure out how to make the wait and take your relationship seriously. thats the hard part.

umm, relatioships are worth it. i like relationship but i wont be in a relationship with somebody who tells me no when i ask for sex.

and how did this one nighter thing get around? guys don't want a one nighter. that benefits the woman. if i have good sex i want it to continue, one night is tease!
Personally I think that most guys maybe about 50-75% of guys hate the relationship and just want a one nighter.

But there are those few guys in a school that wouldn't want just sex... they want an actual relationship where they have someone to go to.
Serious men want relationships, want to raise families and want to keep their wives happy.

These are not men who are Always looking for a one nighter...
absolutly not
